Last year the City of Calgary launched a pilot program using a herd of goats to help control the weeds in parks. For three weeks, the goats grazed in Confluence Park and even hosted a meet and greet for people interested in the project. The pilot program was a success and the goats should be coming back this summer as long as the program can pass the cities 3 separate bylaws of land use, responsible pet ownership and the parks bylaw. Calgary Parks is also reviewing everything to see if the program could expand to other parks in the city. (Photo: City of Calgary)
