Margot Robbie is rumored to be expecting her first child.

Multiple sources informed People that the 34-year-old actress and her husband, Tom Ackerley, also 34 and a film producer, are anticipating the arrival of their first baby. The couple, who wed in 2016, have yet to publicly address the news, along with any official comment from their representatives.

Robbie and Ackerley first crossed paths in 2013 during the filming of “Suite Française,” a World War II romantic drama in Belgium. At that time, Robbie was an emerging actor, and Ackerley was the assistant director.

A year later, they co-founded a production company named LuckyChap, which has produced significant films such as “Birds of Prey” and “Barbie,” both starring Robbie in leading roles. The couple is known for keeping their private lives under wraps. Their engagement wasn’t announced, and they had a secret wedding in Byron Bay, Australia.

In a May 2016 interview with Vogue, the “Suicide Squad” actress shared that her relationship with “the best-looking guy in London” was unexpected.

“I was the ultimate single gal. The idea of relationships made me want to vomit,” she remarked. “And then this crept up on me. We were friends for so long. I was always in love with him.”

Robbie added: “But I thought, ‘Oh, he would never love me back. Don’t make it weird, Margot. Don’t be stupid and tell him that you like him.’ And then it happened, and I was like, ‘Of course we’re together. This makes so much sense, the way nothing has ever made sense before.’”

Robbie has previously expressed frustration about being repeatedly questioned in interviews about when she would have children. Recently, the couple discussed their relationship in an interview with The Times. When asked if they argue at home, Ackerley mentioned that their most common dispute is over chocolate biscuits, specifically “whether Tim Tams or Penguins are better.”

He added that he wished “there was more of a sporting rivalry” between Australia and the UK, noting that he “feels like an honorary Aussie” while “Margot feels like an honorary Brit.” They also shared that when not working, they spend all their time together.

“It’s seamless,” Ackerley said. “We don’t have a toggle on, toggle off. It’s all become one thing.”
