A new study reveals that having strong social links with your co-workers could have a significant impact on your health. Researchers found that those who identified with their work colleagues had better health and a lower risk of burnout compared to those that did not feel that same type of connection. It is suggested that mental health benefits come from the support provided by the work group, but also from the meaning and purpose people find from membership in social groups.
